The Lady Beavers traveled to Erie Monday night to face off against the Royals. Corry fell behind in the 1st quarter 5-15. The Beavers battled hard in the 2nd quarter, matching Erie's offense 13-13 to head into halftime down 28-18.
Corry continued fighting in the second half but eventually fell to the Royals, 53-31.
I liked our effort. We never gave up. We did some things very well and continue to keep improving. We missed some shots that we need to make but they will fall.
Leading the way for Corry was Sadye Dyne with 10 pts followed by Haley Mumau with 7 pts-2 assists, Halle Albers with 6 pts-1 assist, Rylee Nickerson with 4 pts-6 assists, Kaygen Rogers with 2 pts-1 assist, and Reagan Porter with 2 pts.
Nickerson ended the game with 14 rebounds followed by Dyne, Rogers, and Mumau with 5 rebounds each. Porter had 3 rebounds while Albers and Regan Kemp had 1 rebound each.
